Laughing dragon Qigong is a system of self-healing that aims to balance and stimulate Qi, the life force of the body in order to promote health, calm the mind and increase spiritual awareness. It is a synthesis of Taoism, Buddhism, and martial arts.
In these classes we will use simple postures to focus on Qi circulation through finding the balance between stretched and relaxed and simplifying the body into the Yin and Yang elements. Through these techniques the intrinsic strength of the body will be harnessed for improving mental clarity, longevity and life potency. A classically trained cellist, Kristina found Qi Gong to be the perfect vehicle for her precise yet playful style of learning. Her classes are a combination of clear direction and intent with a casual, light-hearted quality. Kristina has trained under Master Chris Fernie, founder and director of the Institute for Internal Transformation located in the Bay Area since 2005. She also studies with Theravadan Buddhist master and renowned Dhamma teacher Ajahn Jamnian and studies with Qigong masters from abroad.
